MASTICATION THROUGH THE AGES
Live Performance 20 Minutes 2025‘Mastication Through the Ages [a rebellion]’; amplifys the digestive system in all its glory whilst demonstrating feeble attempts to follow the ‘rules’ of meal sharing from across the centuries. The piece aims to question - How has our attempt at distancing ourselves from the sonic evidence of our living, breathing, digesting bodies affected our relationships with ourselves and each other? Does our deep rooted shame, disgust and contempt for our bodies serve us in any way, or can we challenge this?
