HOME -
a sound & video installation made in collaboration with bilingual poet Maliha Haider. The piece wanders through ideas of home as a feeling, finding home in another person and within oneself. Using audio recordings from Palermo- Sicily, Karachi- Pakistan and London- UK the soundscape meanders between sonic memories and the poetry of Maliha Haider in Urdu and in English. The projection on a silk screen offers a horizon line oscillating above and below the frame of a window, with a ghost image projected on the ceiling.
